Stina’s Hotel Cottage

Stinas cottage was built by Stina and her husband, initially as a summer house. Stina grew up in Sällehägnad, as the farm is truly called, together with her 5 siblings. As an adult, she wanted to return to her beautiful Sällehägnad to spend summers and celebrate Christmas on her childhood farm. Stina lived with her family in Karlskoga, but a part of her heart always remained in Sällehägnad and Småland. In her home in Karlskoga, she decorated a room with items from Småland and Sällehägnad. Stina’s Cottage was renovated in 2016 to achieve the rural charm that it has today.

Glide along the calm waters of Lake Vrången in our kayaks. Feel the breeze in your hair, hear the gentle drops falling, and let tranquility surround you.

Nature by boat

Come to lake Vrången and enjoy the peace and quiet while you slowly row on the surface of the water. At the beach there is a well-arranged barbecue area where you can enjoy your fika package.

Electric bikes

Rent our electric bikes and explore the area. Take the opportunity to find some hidden gems we have hidden in the forest around here. For those who wish, it is possible to buy a coffee package for your outing.

Wood fired sauna

Enjoy the warmth and tranquility inthe hand-timbered wood sauna. A sauna experience all to yourself, with the possibility of a cooling dip in the water. Experience the peaceful silence in the glow of the fire and listen to the sound of the stream’s waterfall.

The Småland glass empire has been creating magic since 1742. The unique art glass is famous worldwide and the craft can be found in many Swedish homes. At most glassworks it’s fine to step into the cabin and take part in the work.

Everything in an authentic Wild West setting with action-packed shows, bison, train robberies, paddle steamers, gold panning, cowboys, and much, much more. Excitement, fun, and joy await you all day long – at High Chaparral, surprises happen when and where you least expect them. To get to Hight Chaparral from the hotel it takes about 1.5 hours with car.

Astrid Lindgrens world

A 1-hour drive from the hotel lies Astrid Lindgren’s World. Here, you step directly into Astrid Lindgren’s World, a place where children are always at the center. You get the chance to meet Pippi Longstocking, Emil in Lönneberga, and Ronja the Robber’s Daughter. There is plenty of space for free play in Visit Cherry Tree Valley and Wild Rose Valley, Junedale, or The Noisy Village.
